Philosophy of Film & Story
My passion, as you can tell, is videography and photography. However, it goes much deeper than that. With any video or photo a story is being told, and that’s what gets me excited. I LOVE storytelling. Ask me to tell you a story, and we might be talking for a good while. Ever since I was little, I have liked to stand in front of people and tell all sorts of stories by participating in plays, broadcasting, improv, forensics, etc. I have tried to find every way to tell a story. When I came across video and photography, I found a way to tell all sorts of stories in a way that is virtually limitless. This means of presentation has lead me to jumping off cliffs, meeting incredible people, flying drones, and going on adventures I would have never dreamt of.
I will tell you that I am up for a lot of tasks, but I do have some limits. For instance, I won’t film or photograph nudity. I’m not about that sort of content, and I think there are more artistic things to show on camera. I’m not a fan of cursing on video. Personally, I feel it’s sloppy language and that there are better words to choose from. Pretty much anything I would not show my future children, is something I do not want to shoot.
My goal for you and I, is to tell your story. As much as I love telling stories, I love to hear them as well. I want to hear your story and find the most creative and fun way of telling it. If it is a wedding, I want to tell that love story and make people want what you have. If it is a commercial, I not only want people to buy your product, but also be a part of that product. Video and Photography is not only about the content, but about how it makes the viewer feel.
If I am someone you feel like working with, please contact me and let me help you tell your story.
